Taylored Expressions Combo Club 2026.1

I've been a customer of Taylored Expressions for several years now.  This year I decided to sign up for the 3 month subscription to Combo Club.

The first month pack included a quad stencil and clear stamp.  It makes it so easy to mass create a set of cards.

A First-Time Experience with Catherine Pooler Craft Supplies

Incoming card for May Birthday Random Acts of Kindness with SplitCoastStampers.  This month is Catherine Pooler focused.  First time customer. First time crafting with her products.  Impressed!

I'm not usually a fan of foam pads, only one exception for VersaMagic, but these fall into the exception category for different reasons..

1.) They are juicy and cover the stamps amazingly. Usually once is all it takes to Ink and get a good image.

(2) They are also great for background blending and reacting to water!  Think Distress Oxides.  I might venture to say CP reacts slightly better than DO to water.  I'm leaning towards CP as replacements for my DO.  Shocking, right!  (Example of background blending below)

(3) The other thing I really like are the color collections with corresponding color wheels.  She tells you how to read the wheels and which colors work best together.

Enough chitchat... on to the card.

Using Pre-Made Elements to Design a Green-Themed Card

You know of all the colors of the rainbow created by God back in Genesis, green is not usually a color I gravitate to when creating a card or scrapbook page.  Well.. tonight I made this card from pre-made elements I had in my stash and absolutely love how it turned out.

Made It Society #2 - April - Card #1

Here's to the first card I made this morning during Made It Society.  Here's the Sketch:

I was going to be creating 3 cards and had done a test run last night..  On card #2 assembly, I wasn't paying attention and ended up with a backwards opening card.  🫣

An oops.... turned out for the better.  I opted for the white base and I liked how it brightened the card.

>Stampin Up Cardstock: Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, unknown name lighter version of Lost Lagoon

>Ink: SU Island Indigo; VersaMagic in Wheat, Oasis Green, Aegean Blue, Thatched Straw, Persimmon, Pink Grapefruit

Passover/Easter Card 2026

The idea for this card came from the first session of Made It Society.  You can see it here.  I did a little tweaking before landing on the finished card. I only made a few of these as I ran out of time.  It was a fun one to make - an unique fold is always interesting.

I revamped the original and it's giving the purple a run for it's money.  I'm not quite sure which I like better.

I guess I'm leaning purple as it's more closely associated with Passover/Easter.

April BRAK and Just Write...

This was another one of those sets that I've had my eye on and finally hit the go button on a few months back.  The stencil layer set is 6x6 in size and I was able to create 4 cards with a few items leftover for possibly another card.

Typewriter card I made into an action card and used glossy accents of some sort on the keys.

I felt this one was missing something.  So when I came across these extra flora elements in my stash, I knew exactly where they belonged.  Popped them up using a little foam tape for interest.

Used glossy accents again on the ink bottle.

Here are my creations for for this first session.  I wanted to finish all 3 projects before posting.
