Father's Day Card

For My card today, I made for my dad.  Came across the following blog for inspiration just in time to mail for Father's Day.

The Paper Players Theme Challenge: PP740, found here, called Recycling is In!

My daughter brought this cute tin back to me after her honeymoon.  I love to bird watch.  And, listening to birds sing is relaxing to me.

Isn’t it just adorable?!

It is the size of an Altoid tin and held the scraps I had left after making cardstock swatches that I didn't want to part with.

So the purpose of the challenge:  to find a way to recycle something or repurpose something.  I'm proud to say that the whole front of my card is recycled items.

All pieces were gathered from my scrap bin. I popped up the box and sentiment on foam tape to give it some dimension.

>Background:  leftover swatch pieces from various companies I puzzled together.  After this, I may invest in some adhesive sheets!

>Brown Box Frame: discarded from prior project.  Taylored Expressions Chocolate Truffle cardstock.  Stitched Squares from My Favorite Things ... I think.  Been awhile since ordered & didn't put brand on label.

>Solid Distress Box: leftover from playing around with Distress Oxides on scrap paper.  This color is Weathered Wood.

>Sentiment:  leftover from testing ink colors for a prior project.  This is Delicata Golden Glitz.

I was a day late to enter challenge, but grateful I have a card for my dad.  Now what is the hardest part for me to do... what to say on the inside!

Happy Crafting!
