Postage Collage - The Ton Stamps

I think one can say Waffle Flower, here, dominates the market when it come to the postage collage theme.  Their vast collection, current & incoming, has so many options.  This is with whom I began the Postage journey.

The saying goes that each company has a different postage die layout so you can't use the die across companies.  Bummer... as I don't want to spend money on what I would call duplicates.  So I tested this theory.

I came across The Ton Stamps, here,  a while back and they have some really beautiful scenes - from floral to landscapes.  I couldn't resist and now have the Peonies and Sunflowers... with a few more on my wishlist.

Yea... it didn't work.   If I stenciled each flower separately, there were 2-3 I might could get to work with the Waffle Flower postage die.  I decided to splurge on The Ton Panel Die.  It cuts the squares out leaving the border that you can place on top for a window (sample below).  I think Waffle Flower has one too, but I wanted one specific to The Ton.  Similar, but not duplicate.  My justification to make my life easier.

Another option is the Creative Memories Postage Trimmer Blade (here).  Since I wasn't sure, I bought one through Amazon with the option to return.  Which I did when I attempted to create postage on all 4 sides and didn't like the results.  As an afterthought, I should have kept and used it on opposite sides... making it more like a real postage stamp. Back on my wish list it goes.

Anywho... here are my first goes at playing with my new stencils.

First up is definitely for the pink lover...

Ink:
>LDRS - Pink Tutu, Soft Kisses, Tickled Pink, Olive Branch

Paper:
>Stampin Up - Melon Mambo (perfect match for Tickled Pink

On this next one, I glued the postage panel to the stenciled image and trimmed to make individual postage stamps.  A bit tedious, but on some edges the image needed to be trimmed to let the postage edge show.

My to do list before next crafty time with this panel die:  cut a stencil template.  I can use this to arrange the precut squares from cardstock before stenciling.  They will insert into the postage instead of the slight overlay.  Depending on what look I'm going for.

Ink:
>Pinkfresh - Cherry Blossom, Peony, Begonia, Sage, Lush Forest

Paper:
>Stampin Up:  Pink? Not sure as it was in my scrap box and my swatch doesn't have a label, but most likely retired. It matches Peony perfectly.
>Taylored Expressions: Brussels Sprout

Up last, for today anyway, is a shaker card.
