Review: The Book of Lost Names

The Book of Lost Names The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What I love about Kristin Harmel books, I’ve read 2 at this point - The Winemaker’s Wife was the other, is the Author’s Note at the end. The basis of how the story came about and the rich research undertaken to created a beautifully written story that will keep you reading all hours of the night.

The Book of Lost Names is one of my favorites. I think these quotes pretty much sums up the storyline:

“They are erasing us, and we are helping them.”

“It’s important you understand that we are not taking away the children’s identities. The Nazi’s are doing that. We are giving them a chance to live.”

In the midst of so much evil that occurred, there were those who defied and made a difference.
