So this past Christmas I tried to start making cards at some point around October. I just could not get in the mood. No thoughts about where to start or how to begin, not one creative nothing. The week before Christmas I pulled out 8 cards I had made earlier in the year, reworked them & added a few lines. I mailed 7 of them. Still not in the mood.
Apparently, I wasn't the only one that was behind. It was suggested on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group that we should start a Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop. We take a Magnolia image and make one card a month. At the end of the year we'll have 12 cards to mail out. Cool, uhh? The images are really cute & it didn't take me long to fall in love with them (I've only know of them for a few months). Diane, owner of the Magnolia-Licious Store, runs discounts each month to aid in our addiction to these precious little stamps.
So on to my card:
Images: Silent Night Tilda, #3018 & Merry Christmas From Our House To Yours, #701
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper: Stampin UP Always Artichoke(?) & My Mind's Eye Signature Christmas Holiday Glitter Pack
Flower: Prima's Holiday Poinsettia with a yellow brad from my collection. Yellow Stickles in the center of the stamped poinsettias and brushed the brad & the surrounding flower. Red Stickles brushed on both image & flower. Well...I thought I was using red. When I turned on the big light, it was Pink Stickles. So after the pink dried, I went back with in the red.
Copic Colors:
Face: E000, E00, R20
Hair: Y26, E40
Coat & Mittens: E40, E42, E43
Coat Trim: Star Dust Stickles
Buttons: E35
Boots: E42, E43, E47
Dress & Stockings: R22, R20
Stick: G21, E31
Ribbon: YG95, YG97
Leaves: YG99
Poinsettias: R35, R39
Enjoy your hop!
