From The Trench: Hanukkah Card

Everyone needs that one thing &/or mission to jump start the creative juices flowing.  Well this was mine.  Started on Tuesday and put the cards in the mail Friday afternoon.  I really didn't think I'd get it done as I had to mail Friday to receive by the Monday deadline.

I came across a website that were sending cards to a local Jewish nursing home for Hanukkah.  I thought this was a great idea for all those in nursing homes and assisted living facilities that have been limited to interactions to those who care for them during this wacky year.   Some may have no visits, but for those missing family visits my heart goes out to them.

Here's a list of items I used:

It took me a couple hours before I got it all laid out.  You wouldn't think that with such a simplistic design, but there you have it.  Here are some pics of the process and the final product.  I'm not sure if you can tell, but I colored the flame with a yellow Sharpie Pen and filled with the Liquid Pearls.

I really like how they turned out.  Just clean and simple.

I did a search for sayings for Hanukkah cards and used several different ones for the inside.  I followed with Happy Hanukkah.  After writing Hanukkah 20 times, I still have stop and think if I'm spelling it correctly.

Light of Messiah Ministries deliver cards and letters to a local Jewish nursing home.  You can read more about it here:
