The Messiah Has Come - 2025

Since the first time I saw this stamp set in Spring of 2024, I've had this postage layout in mind.  This craze has been around for the last couple years and I wanted to play into that before it fizzles out.

I guess you can consider this my Christmas card for 2025.    I've called it:  The Messiah (or Christ) Has Come. The long awaited deliverer foretold by the Hebrew prophets.

Yeshua (Hebrew) (ye-SHOO-ah)

Jesus (English version of the Greek version of the Hebrew)

Yeshua/Jesus is the proper name for YHVH (Yahweh/God) in the flesh; the Messiah and rightful King of the universe.  Yeshua means God saves.

"She will give birth to a son; and you shall call His name Yeshua, for He will save His people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21 TLV

There is salvation in no other:
“ let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—.....  And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:10,12 LSB

The meanings behind the amounts I used for the postage are as follows:

30: the 30 pieces of silver that Jesus was betrayed for in Matthew 26:14-16 - here

53: in reference to the Passover Lamb as referenced in Isaiah 53 (here)

Forever: sat at the right hand of the Father in Hebrews 12:2 (here) and reigns forever in Revelation 22:5 (here)

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16 TLV

BRAK - December

For December cards I went with an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) theme.  That's where you take a piece of cardstock the size of a baseball card and create a focal point.  Back in the day.. lol.. a group of friends, or crafty peeps, would form a group to trade ATCs back & forth.

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue .. Maybe

Today I'm sharing a card that I made back in the summer.  It was one of those times I was testing inks.  I wanted to stay with colors from the same brand and had only a few options as I'm still building my supply.

I scored horizontal lines in the base card and used a Creative Memories decorative trimmer blade on sides of the roses.

Inks - Taylored Expressions:
> Salt Water Taffy
> Blue Raspberry
> Blue Corn
> Oat Milk
> Mushroom

Cardstock:
> Taylored Expressions Blue Raspberry -or- Stampin' Up Bermuda Bay

Ink Pad Label Revamp

The original method of labeling my ink pads consisted of a Dynmo Label Maker and a QTip.  The ink color was there, but not really a representation of the color - on the glossy label the ink seemed to fade after it dried.

The updated method consisted of a Dynmo Label Maker and address labels cut at 1/4" for the width of the label.  It fits the side of the Ink Pad perfectly.  I used Office Depot 1" X 2 5/8" address labels (Avery 8660/5630) Dual Inkjet & Laser.
The color just pops!  Definitely a needed revamp...  keep trying stuff to make your space work for you and what will allow your mo-jo to flow.

Works great for Oxides also:

Card Donations

I've shared on previous posts different cards I made for a birthday card group over at SplitCoast Stampers.  I didn't realize just how many one received until my birthday month rolled around.  I decided to donate them to a private school my son attended for a short time for one of their fundraisers.

Bundled 4 to a pack.  Added a few of of my own cards to help finish off some of the bundles. Here are all the cards:

The last line of cards had a friendship theme.  And the line above that, more general/hello.  The card that most surprised me is in the lower left.  Being a crafter, you always have unfinished/extra pieces laying around. That's what this card is made of.... and I really liked it.

Here's a close up.
Additionally, I made these three more sets - 2 pictured below, forgot to get one of the thank you set:

Feast of Tabernacles - Living Water

Today is the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles on the Biblical calendar.  I wanted to share this clip from Torah Class regarding the water drawing ceremony that takes place on that day.

Jesus Reveals He is the True Living Water during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles)

On the last and most important day of the festival,

Jesus stood up and cried out,

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

[Jhn 7:37 CSB]

Feast of Trumpets - What Does Blowing a Trumpet Mean? by One For Israel

We are coming into the season of the Fall Feasts and want to share some info on them.
First up is Yom Teruah aka Feast of Trumpets.

(picture from One For Israel website)

Below is a portion of an article from One For Israel.  You can read the whole article here: https://www.oneforisrael.org/holidays/the-feast-of-trumpets/

What does blowing a trumpet mean?

Trumpets in Biblical times were either made from rams’ horns (shofars) or from silver, and could be blown by the priests and leaders. There were different sounds for different purposes:

– Time to pack up camp and move on, when the Israelites were traveling in the desert

Time to gather the people and call an assembly

– To mark a sacrifice on a feast day

– A warning of war or danger

– To praise

– To declare a procession or feast

– Proclaiming a king

– Assembling the troops for battle

– To be used in battle

– To declare victory

It can be the sound of worship or a battle cry. A practical device for the twelve tribes on the march, and makers of special days and times of celebration.

The sound of the trumpet also has other connotations in the Bible:

God’s power to raise the dead (1 Corinthians 15:52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16)

– The proclamation of the gospel (Psalms 89:15)

– The bold and faithful preaching of prophets (Isaiah 58:1, Hosea 8:1, Joel 2:1)

– The latter day judgments (Revelation 8:2 and 13)

Magnolia Card

Today's share is using a set I purchased a while back from LDRS of this beautiful magnolia. The sample image in the set has the flower in shades of pink.  Being a Mississippian I was wanting a Southern Magnolia white color and had in mind a couple of inks I wanted to try.  If this had not worked, I was trying watercolors next.  I am pleased with the recipe I found with this softer color palette and a light blending hand.

I stamped the image in the same color as I blended the flowers.  It was so light, it basically disappeared.  I went back in with a green color pencil to add the veins on the leaves.

Stamps/Dies/Stencils:
>LDRS Creative:  Sweet Magnolias stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folder - found here.

Ink:
>LDRS: Evergreen (leaves)
>Taylored Expressions: Oat Milk (flower, envelope) - here
>VersaMagic: Pink Petunia (sentiments) - here

Other possible colors for flowers if you have all VersaMark colors.  I'll try later and link them back to this post.
>Leaves: Aloe Vera
>Flowers:  Wheat (sandy brown), Sage (sandy green), Aspen Mist (gray/blue/green), Niagara Mist
